Pitching In Isthmian Supporters predictions 23-24: Herne Bay

1. Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

Last season there were not many highlights, but our games against Lewes were a high. Beating them 4-1 at home and being 3-0 up after 30 minutes was probably our best moment. Also our home win against Bognor Regis scoring two 90th minute goals to win 2-1.

2. And what was the worst moment?

The worst moment from last season was being relegated. But I’m looking forward to this season back in this Division. 

3. Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Last season Mason Saunders-Henry was our best player.  He stood out and was consistently one of our best players in every game.

4. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 2023-24 campaign?

I think Gil Carvalho and Troy Howard will have a big impact this season, as they’re both rapid and will tear defences apart.

5. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

This season I think we will finish just below the play offs- but hopefully we can push into the play off spots.

6. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

I’m looking forward to Ramsgate at home- particularly as it’s a Bank Holiday game. It should be an exciting game.

7. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

My favourite away ground is Lancing, as it’s a brilliant away day close to the beach.

8. If you regularly travelled away, which ground served the best food?

The best food at a ground is 100% Ramsgate- but also Horsham has amazing food in the division above.
