Pitching In Isthmian Supporters predictions 23-24: Ashford United

1. Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

Not too many in a relatively poor season compared to the previous 2 or 3, but good away performances at Littlehampton, Sittingbourne and Beckenham were possibly the highlights for me. 

2. And what was the worst moment?

Too many to mention really, but probably when it was mathematically impossible to reach the play offs (the reality was it was over by the end of February)

3. Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Gary Lockyer, always put in a shift and scored a fair number of goals as well. 

4. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 2023-24 campaign?

Danny Parish, looking forward to him being able to play his normal game and to his strengths. 

5. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

Really excited for this season, the first season in a while I'm optimistic on our chances. Kevin Watson appears to be building a great squad. 
Play offs at least is my hope. 

6. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Away at Ramsgate is always a good match against a great team. I think the games against Herne Bay could be interesting given the recent rivalry! 
 
7. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

I like Ramsgate's ground, but probably Sheppey United - nice tidy ground!

8. If you regularly travelled away, which ground served the best food?

Burgess Hill Town burgers are my favourite. Sheppey and Ramsgate's food was good as well.
