Rance signs on at the Stripes

Former loan star Dean Rance is now permanent at Folkestone Invicta

Folkestone Invicta have announced that midfielder Dean Rance has signed a two year deal, after finishing the season on loan at the Stripes from Scunthorpe United.

Dean moved to the Kent Coast from North Lincolnshire in January, and ended the campaign with sixteen appearances under his belt.

He started his career as a Gillingham youth, and eventually made it to the first team squad- although he also had a number of loans, most notably at Maidstone United (twice), Bishop's Stortford (twice), and Dover Athletic. He eventually made a move to Dover on a permanent basis, but it was at Ebbsfleet United (as a team mate of Invicta boss Andy Drury) where he really made his name, spending six years at the club- a period which saw United lose two National League South Play off Finals before finally winning one, and lose in the National League Play Off Semi Finals.

A season with Aldershot Town and three years with Dagenham and Redbridge followed, before he moved to Scunthorpe in March last year.
