Grays Athletic announce two 'new' arrivals

Grays Athletic announced the arrival at Chadfields (they are now sharing with Tilbury) of two 'new' players at the weekend.

Rob Clark isn't new at all. He joined the club last summer, and made twenty four appearances yes before departing for Brentwood Town just before transfer deadline day. He made another nine appearances at the Arena, including in a two-nil win against Athletic at the end of March.

Rob originally arrived at Athletic from Maldon & Tiptree, where he made sixteen appearances between January and April 2022. A midfielder, Rob previously played for Thurrock and Waltham Abbey.

Charlie Stimson moves to Athletic from Hornchurch, where he had been- alongside his father, new Athletic boss Mark- since December 2018. The striker came through the Academies at Tottenham Hotspur and Gillingham, and after leaving the Gills spent time with Barnet. Concord Rangers was up next, and a spell at Tooting & Mitcham United followed, before a six year period alongside his dad at Thurrock. The two them moved to Waltham Abbey for a short time before heading to the Urchins, where he was a big part of the side which won the FA Trophy in 2021 and reached two successive Pitching In Isthmian Premier Play Off Finals. He made thirty three appearances last season.
