Rocket Richardson returns to Regent

Brightlingsea Regent boost their survival chances with the return of striker Tom Richardson

Brightlingsea Regent last night announced the return to the club of striker Tom Richardson, most recently in the Isthmian League with Brentwood Town.

Tom started his senior career playing for Romford, and was then part of Brentwood Town's North Division promotion side of 2014-15. He was critical to Brightlingsea Regent's North Division promotion in 2017-18, scoring twenty two goals as he helped fire them to the title, and he also spent time at a higher level, playing in the National League for both East Thurrock United and Braintree Town.

He spent some time with Aveley with nine goals in twelve games in 2017-18, before hitting another twenty two as they reached the Playoffs in 2018-19.

Bishop's Stortford was his next stop, before a return to Brentwood last season, where his thirty eight goals in forty three matches across all competitions helped them to the Pitching In Isthmian North Play Off Final. He has five more goals in fifteen matches this season, and has recently spent a little time with Romford, these days in the Essex Senior League.
