Tommy Stagg makes Bowers and Pitsea debut

Forward Tommy Stagg made his Bowers and Pitsea debut in Saturday's draw at Heybridge Swifts, after a move from Leatherhead.

Tommy joined the Tanners in October from Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Cheshunt, where he made two appearances this season. He went on to play fourteen times for Leatherhead, and scored five goals.

He has no shortage of previous Pitching In Isthmian experience. He played Under 18 and Under 21 football for Colchester United, but whilst with the U's spent time on loan with a succession of our clubs, including Maldon & Tiptree (naturally), Witham Town and East Thurrock United. He then had his first spell with the Billericay Town, who were then in National League South, before two more Isthmian spells during the 21-22 season, with Brentwood Town and Hashtag United.

His time at Brentwood saw him play four times, and then he played three times for the Tags, scoring on his debut against Great Wakering Rovers. Last season he had a second spell at Billericay Town before ending the campaign at Grays Athletic, where he played six times and scored once.
