Ramsgate appoint former Hastings, Ashford, Sittingbourne- and Gillingham- boss

Ramsgate have moved swiftly to replace the departed Matt Longhurst, bringing in Steve Lovell as their new manager.

Steve, who as a player turned out for the likes of Crystal Palace, Millwall, Gillingham and Wales, went on to manage the Gills as well as a number of our sides, as well as taking on the roles of manager at Welling United and assistant boss at Bromley. He told the club website:

“I'm so pleased and excited to be asked to become Ramsgate FC manager for the remainder of the season. James Lawson is working very hard to make Ramsgate FC a force on the football field and in the local community. I'm looking forward to the remaining four games and the prospect of play off games.”
