Brentwood Town bring in former Bowers and Hashtag striker Luke Hirst

Brentwood Town have announced the signing of forward Luke Hirst.

Forward Luke, who scored ten goals in twenty two appearances for Hashtag United last season, remained at the Len Salmon but moved up a level in the summer, signing for landlords Bowers & Pitsea,- however he doesn't seem to have made an appearance. He has most recently been with Barking, these days in the Essex Senior League, scoring six goals.

Prior to his move to the Tags he had already made fifteen appearances for Basildon United last season- with six goals.

Luke was an Under 18 with Dagenham & Redbridge before a first spell at Bowers, where he was prolific at youth and Under 23 level before making his way into the first team squad. He made five appearances and scored once during the 2018-19 campaign, and followed that with three more appearances at the start of the following season.

He got the chance to play in Sweden for IFK Mora, but the pandemic got in the way, and he also spent a little time with Grays Athletic, appearing twice at the start of the 20-21 campaign.
