Supporters predictions- the outcome: Premier Division

By Ian Townsend

Our supporters have been predicting the final Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division table. Here's the result- and your favourite Premier Division ground

If you've been reading our predictions series over the last month or so, you might have been wondering when you'd get to see the final tables. Well never fear, this morning we will bring you, in quick succession, the South East, South Central and Premier Division predicted tables. Expect to see them printed out and stuck to dressing room walls as inspiration in the near future!

The Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division title will be a two-way scrap. With one hand on the Trophy you, unsurprisingly, place Worthing at the top of the pile; but they won’t have it their own way, as the Mackerel Men will have to do battle with the Urchins to take top spot. You’ve placed FA Trophy and Pitching In Non League Super Cup winners Hornchurch in second place, and then put clear daylight between the top two and the rest.

Folkestone Invicta will, you believe, end the campaign in third place, whilst they will be hotly pursued by Carshalton Athletic. The final playoff place will go to Kingstonian, just a hairsbreadth ahead of Enfield Town. These four are so close that it came down to the last set of votes to work out which order they’d finish in- it could easily have seen the Towners in third!

At the other end of the table, you are rather worried about Merstham, Wingate & Finchley and Brightlingsea Regent, who you expect to hold up the rest. Bowers and Pitsea are your top placed side in that bottom four, just above East Thurrock United and Corinthian-Casuals, and then there is a veritable chasm between he bottom six and the rest.

Your favourite Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division ground? You already know the answer- Lewes picked up this prize for the fourth season in a row (that’s as long as we’ve been doing this). You’ll find out whether they win the overall League crown tomorrow- but it’s rather close! Worthing, new in the list of contenders, came second for the Premier Division, with honourable mentions for Margate, Haringey Borough and Folkestone Invicta.

We're not going to name any names at any point, but we'll come back at the end of the campaign to see how you did- in the hope that we'll actually finish it this time. Thanks to all supporters who took part, your help is greatly appreciated.

We’re back- with hat-trick Saturday! We had four hat tricks, a shock for Worthing at Folkestone Invicta, and normal service for Maldon & Tiptree as they scored SEVEN at Romford!
