If you are an avid reader of the Non League Paper- and after all, who isn't- then it's likely that you saw the article in Sunday's issue that asked you to complete a 'Return to Football Survey' created by the marvellous Football Supporters Association. If you immediately went online and did so, then you can look away now- but if not, please read on!
Many of us watch the Non League game because it is very different to the football we see on tv. At our level people are key, relationships are all important, and the idea of football without spectators is anathema- after all, it's the people that make the game. As a League we're already committed to not kicking off without spectators, but we need to know how you feel about returning to the game when the government finally give us the green light. The Football Supporters Association have taken on the important job of gauging and collating your opinions- but they can only do that if you complete the survey, which we've linked to below.
Andy Walsh, the FSA’s head of the national game, explains:
The FSA and the Non League Paper launched the survey in Sunday's edition
“The FSA believes that it is is supremely important for the voice of football supporters to be heard in any discussions about the restart of football.
To obtain the most accurate view of fans of non-league we urge everyone to complete the survey, and share it as widely as possible.”
Nick Robinson, Isthmian League Chairman, agrees wholeheartedly with Andy:
"It's absolutely critical that we get the views of our supporters on what we can do to ensure that they feel safe to return. The FA will create guidance for the game, but that guidance needs to be informed, and this is an opportunity for supporters to give us their input.
I'd like to encourage all supporters of Isthmian League teams to follow the link below and complete the survey. It will take less than five minutes of your time, but the outcome will be extremely important, not only for us but for the entire Non League game."
So what are you waiting for? Hit the link below- and please forward it to your friends and ask them to do the same.
We'd also be grateful if our clubs could share the link on their websites and social media outlets.
