Enfield Town striker George Sykes moves to Brentwood Town

Enfield Town last night announced that striker George Sykes, who signed for the club last month from Bishop’s Stortford, has decided to move on- and signed for Brentwood Town.

George ended last season at Aveley, celebrating the double of a Pitching In Isthmian Premier Play Off win and a Velocity Cup victory, a season which saw him play forty nine times- including in both of those finals- and score a total of nineteen goals. He also scored twenty goals as the Millers won the Pitching In Isthmian North title the previous season, seven in twelve matches during the incredible short 20-21 campaign, and had seventeen goals when 19-20 crashed to a halt.

Prior to his time at Parkside, he turned out for Barnet, Farnborough, Bishop's Stortford, St Albans City, Canvey Island, Maldon & Tiptree and Tilbury. He also had a short spell at Brentwood Town, and now he's perhaps going to have a longer one!
