Table-topping Tolfrey tops another table!

K's legendary goalkeeper Rob hits another milestone as Kingstonian host Brightlingsea Regent today

There are not enough superlatives to describe the phenomenal efforts of Kingstonian goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey during his twelve years with the club. Today, however, unless he does a Dave Beasant and drops a bottle of salad cream on his foot pre-match, Rob will reach another milestone when he starts against Brightlingsea Regent. One more appearance in a K's shirt will take him to five hundred and fifty eight, and make him the club record appearance holder.

To put that into perspective, the K's have been in existence for one hundred and thirty six years, and the current record, held by Micky Preston, has stood since 1985!

Pitching In Isthmian League Chairman Nick Robinson sends his congratulations, saying:

"Rob has been a magnificent servant to his club. On behalf of all at the League I would like to send our congratulations on reaching this significant milestone. We hope he will be between the sticks for the K's for many years to come."

K's fans regularly sing "Don't you wish your keeper was Rob Tolfrey." We suspect that many opposition fans over the years have listened to that and nodded in silent agreement- and with good reason.

Congratulations Rob. Have a wonderful day.
