Tanner the Towner

Enfield Town yesterday announced the signing of a new centre back, Bernie Tanner.

Bernie has spent this season playing for Pitching In Southern Premier South side Hanwell Town, but it well known to Towners manager Gavin Macpherson, as he was part of Gavin's side at Metropolitan Police for the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons.

Prior to his time with the boys in blue, the player turned out for another of our former clubs, the now sadly defunct Walton Casuals. Prior to his time in orange, he turned out for Farnborough, where he was a big part of the first team squad during 2018-19 and 19-20.
