Terrors honour former hero

Tooting & Mitcham United to remember Neil Hams- and collect for Motor Neurone Disease research

Tooting & Mitcham United have a big match on Saturday, as they welcome title-chasing Walton & Hersham to Imperial Fields. Off the pitch, however, they are taking the opportunity to remember former 2001 Isthmian Division Two title-winner, Neil Hams, who passed away after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. Saturday would have been Neil's 45th birthday.

In honour of Neil, the MND Association will be collecting before, during and undoubtedly after the match, and it would be fabulous if fans of both the Terrors and the Swans could dig deep and give generously.

Neil, who as well as playing for the Terrors turned out as a youth player at Chelsea, was a former Under 18 manager with United's tenants Kingstonian, and was also formerly part of the management team at Walton & Hersham's now sadly defunct neighbours, Walton Casuals.
