The Four Tanners

Four new arrivals at Leatherhead

Prior to Saturday's match with Chipstead, Leatherhead's new boss Hayden Bird strengthened his squad in a big way- with the arrival of Reise Allassani, Trey Williams, Rob McGowan and Ajuub Ali.

Winger Reise started this season at Carshalton Athletic, but doesn't seem to have made an appearance. He came through the youth setup at Crystal Palace but it was with Hamlet that he really found his way. During their Isthmian Premier promotion season of 2017-18 he scored seventeen goals, catching the eye of Coventry City and making the move to the Midlands shortly afterwards.

Whilst with the Sky Blues he had loan spells with Ebbsfleet United, Woking and Hamlet, and eventually headed back to Champion Hill on a permanent basis, making eighteen appearances last season. As a youth, he played for England at Under 16 and Under 17 level.

Trey Williams moves up from Cray Valley PM. The midfielder returned to our shores in the summer after playing in Australia, but only featured twice for the Millers. He started life at Queens Park Rangers, spent some time in the USA, and counts Fisher, Welling United, Ashford United, VCD Athletic, Enfield Town and Whyteleafe amongst his other clubs.

Rob McGowan, a defender, played for his new boss previously- at Kingstonian- before moving on to Pitching In Southern Premier side Metropolitan Police, whilst Ayuub Ali also has a short journey to Fetcham Grove, as he moves from Corinthian-Casuals, where he had played twice this season. He was previously with St Margaretsbury and Enfield Borough, and we're sure he must have played in more places too but the internet is not our friend on this occasion.

Each of the quartet made a debut in Saturday's defeat against Chipstead.
