The Greens go for two in a row

Gorleston take on Downham Town tonight in the Final of the Norfolk Senior Cup- at Carrow Road, home of Norwich City

Pitching In Isthmian North side Gorleston will tonight grace the turf at their favourite second home, Norwich City's Carrow Road, as they look to win the Norfolk Senior Cup for the second year in a row.

Last season the Greens swept aside Dereham Town three-nil to take the trophy, and tonight's opponents are Downham Town. Downham finished their Eastern Counties Premier season in seventh place, and ended the campaign without a win in four- the last of those defeats the most difficult, as it was a narrow one-nil loss against a club familiar to Isthmian watchers, Harlow Town, in the League Cup Final. They'll be desperate not to lose a second Cup Final in eight days.

Gorleston reached the Final with wins over Norwich City Under 23's, Diss Town and Fakenham Town having entered the competition in the Third Round. Their opponents fought their way past Watton United, Wroxham, Mulbarton Wanderers and Wells Town.
