The Return of the Leatherhead Lip!

By Ian Townsend

Chris Kelly returns to the Tanners for a fundraiser on October 13th- details here

Leatherhead FC have announced details of fundraising evening with club legend Chris Kelly- the 'Leatherhead Lip'- with current Tanners manager Hayden Bird also appearing.

On and off the pitch Chris was a key member of the famous FA Cup giant killing Tanners team of the 1970's, making it all the way to the 4th round proper against top division Leicester City in 1975. He also played in the team that made it to Wembley for the FA Trophy in the 1977-78 season.

After a brief spell in the professional game at Millwall, Chris returned to Leatherhead before moving to Kingstonian as a player, then manager, then director, securing consecutive FA Trophy wins.

Chris now lives overseas and rarely visits the UK so the club is delighted that he has agreed to join them in the clubhouse of his 'spiritual home' at Fetcham Grove, Leatherhead for a fundraising event for the club. Chris will spend time recalling the old days and will be happy to answer questions.
He will also be joined by current Tanners manager, Hayden Bird too.

Table snacks will be provided and pies and pasties will be available at the bar. Bar opens at 7pm.

Tickets can be purchased here.
