East Thurrock United yesterday announced two new signings, as forward Tobi Joseph and midfielder Johnny Ashman signed on.
Tobi moves over from Canvey Island, having joined the Gulls just before the 2019-20 campaign. He managed thirteen goals from forty one appearances during his first campaign as a Gull, and had another two from eleven last season as he helped his side reach the Second Round of the FA Cup. Prior to his time with Canvey Tobi was with Hornchurch, part of their promotion winning side of 2017-18 and who made his one hundredth appearance for the Urchins in January 2018. He has also spent time with Brentwood Town and Barking.
Johnny, a winger, has spent the last two campaigns with Barking- and indeed was scoring for the Blues as recently as April, as they defeated West Essex. He made forty appearances in 2019-20, scoring eight goals. He previously played for Clapton, Aveley, Witham Town and Cheshunt.
