Tuesday Night Football...

By Ian Townsend

..what's left of it. Here's our- much more brief than we'd hoped- preview of tonight's action, which comes exclusively from Hanbury Park!

We normally produce our preview much earlier in the day, but given the weather outside is so cold it could freeze the protuberances off a brass monkey we decided to delay a while. Sadly we were right to do so, and accordingly, as Chesney Hawkes almost said, here is our one and only.

Our football tonight comes from Mid Sussex, where Haywards Heath Town seemingly have their own micro-climate as the rest of Sussex is frozen solid!

Heath, who have climbed up to eleventh in Pitching In Isthmian South East with a run of three wins, one draw and one defeat from their last five, have opened up a four point gap on the bottom four, but there is only one point between twelfth place Burgess Hill Town and seventeenth place Lancing. Another win tonight will take them into the top ten, and they face a Faversham Town side who have used a rather incredible sixty three players this season. They are also under manager number three, and if Sammy Moore finally has the squad he wants we're sure he'll expect them to start picking up points and move up the table. The Lilywhites have taken only one point from the last twenty seven they have played for, and are fourteen points from safety- and yet, looking at their current squad, you wouldn't want to bet against them making a great escape.

Last season's meeting at Hanbury Park so a Davigildo Cravid goal give Heath the points.
