Two in the Row

Tayo Oyebola and Charlie Wagstaffe make Hartley Wintney debuts

Hartley Wintney had two unfamiliar faces in their starting line up as they defeated Sutton Common Rovers on Saturday.

Tayo Oyebola would, however, be familiar to those who watch Pitching In Isthmian Premier football, as the forward has already played for both Cray Wanderers and Hastings United this season.

His time at Cray began only in early January, and with three goals in five matches must be counted as something of a success! He'd already managed four in twenty two appearances for Hastings, after signing in the summer.

Tayo spent time last season with Corinthian-Casuals, playing five times and scoring once. He moved on to play nine times for Tooting & Mitcham United, and finished the campaign with Fleet Town.

The 21-22 campaign saw him with Leatherhead and Marlow. He also previously played Harlow Town, for whom he made thirty six appearances scoring thirteen goals during the 2019-20 season, and also spent some time with Staines Town before that campaign fell over.

He previously played for Molesey, Chipstead, Hartley Wintney and Waltham Abbey.

Charlie Wagstaffe, a midfielder, doesn't seem to have been our way previously. He moves up from Pitching in Southern Premier South side Sholing, where he has plied his trade for more than four years. Prior to that he was with Hamble Club in the Wessex League, and also spent time with Sholing's current Premier rivals AFC Totton.
