Two more for the Nuts and Bolts

By Ian Townsend

Stephen Okoh and Jamal Ossai are new arrivals at Ashford United

Ashford United have announced a double-signing as they prepare for this weekend's big kick off. Stephen Okoh and Jamal Ossai are the new arrivals.

Okoh's arrival is something of a surprise, as it's little more than a month since he was announced as a new arrival at Bowers & Pitsea. Stephen spent some of last season with Whitehawk, playing seven times and scoring once, and some of it with Faversham Town, where he had also been for 2020-21, what there was of it. He then moved on to Whitstable Town, where he made twenty five appearances, scoring twice, but was unable to keep the Oysters in Pitching In isthmian South East.

He spent 2019-20 with Hythe Town, making twenty four appearances and scoring three goals. He headed to the Cannons from Bromley, and has also played for VCD Athletic, Margate, Leatherhead and spent some time north of the border at Stranraer.

Jamal we know little about, a full back- able to play left and right back, apparently- recently of Hatcham Manor and who has also played for Tudor Sports. He was part of the Nuts and Bolts side which lost four-two at Folkestone Invicta in a friendly on Sunday.
