Vita Risk Solutions Manager of the Month Awards: October 2021

Premier Division

We’re off to the Kent seaside, and visiting the only unbeaten club in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division. Neil Cugley has been in charge of Invicta since 1996, and has so many awards that he’s probably had to build an extension just to keep them in, but we’re going to give him another nonetheless! October saw Invicta win every league match, and score fourteen goals in the process. It also saw them knock National League Gloucester City out of the FA Cup. Neil is the deserved winner of our Vita Risk Solutions Manager of the Month Award.

North Division

We’ve only just left Canvey after delivering the September award, and now we have to go back! Former Gulls boss Mark Bentley took the last award, and now he has another, despite departing for Southend United mid month. Canvey won all four league matches during October, scoring sixteen goals in the process- and they also won two FA Trophy matches too. The only unbeaten side in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division- and credit should also go to new boss Brad Wellmen, who has steered the side since Mark’s departure.

South Central Division

We could almost take a plane to Bedfont Sports if we weren’t worried about our carbon footprint! The club at the end of the Heathrow runway are having a fabulous season, and their boss Paul Johnson oversaw a fantastic October which saw them score thirteen league goals, conceding only two- and we haven’t even mentioned their FA Cup and FA Trophy exploits. Congratulations to Paul, who deserves all the plaudits heading his way. Perhaps we’ll make the presentation at the end of a match, as that’s when his side seem to score most of their goals!

South East Division

It’s time to visit those Millers of Cray, as we pay tribute to the fantastic work of Cray Valley PM boss Kevin Watson. Kevin has steered his Millers to the top of the league, and October saw them win five league matches, with only one of their six opponents taking even a point. Sixteen goals were thrashed into the opposition net, too. Many congratulations to Kevin and his table-toppers.
