Wasps confirm FIVE signings

East Grinstead bring in a four- and keep one

East Grinstead Town are still looking for their first league win of the season, but they'll be hoping that their five-nil Velocity Trophy win at Chichester City last time out was the start of better things- and now manager Matt Longhurst has announced five new signings.

First in comes Levi Phillips from Carshalton Athletic, who played in that Chichester match and against Whitstable Town a few days beforehand. The forward has made three appearances for the Robins this season, but has generally been warming the bench at Colston Avenue.

Another attacking threat will come from Simon Offei, who has most recently been at Three Bridges and has also turned out for Sutton United, Whyteleafe and Leatherhead, and Ross Barclay has also signed for another month- on loan from Sussex neighbours Lewes.

Another arrival is the midfielder TJ Bramble, an Antigua and Barbuda international who joins on loan from Gillingham FC. He signed his latest professional contract with the Gills back in May.

Finally, forward Steve Smith comes in from Folkestone Invicta. Steve has made four appearances for our league leaders so far this season, but has spent most of the month since he joined the club on the bench. He moved to Invicta from Ramsgate, a club he joined in the summer and where he scored seven goals in only nine appearances, and last season was Whitstable Town's top scorer with eleven goals. Invicta have since confirmed that this is a loan move, not a permanent departure.
