Watching on a Sunday afternoon

By Ian Townsend

We've two FA Trophy matches today, featuring Grays, Merstham and Faversham- and one of them kicks off early

If you were planning on a lazy Sunday afternoon then please note that there's nothing on tv and the newspapers are full of doom and gloom, so you might be better off getting out and watching some football instead!

Grays Athletic play host to Merstham, and this match kicks off at 1PM. Athletic have been in good form so far this season, with only two defeats from their ten matches and scoring plenty of goals, chiefly coming from Sam Bantick (5), Ronnie Winn (5) and Anointed Chuckwu- who has scored in his last three. Moatsiders fans haven't had much to shout about, without a win in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Division, but they did look much improved in defeating Hythe Town three nil in their last match.

Faversham Town travel to Cheshunt (which we thought we'd point out to anyone about to set off to Romania) to face FC Romania. The Lilywhites haven't had the best of starts, two wins and six defeats from their eight matches, whilst the Wolves, these days in Pitching In Southern Division One Central, haven't been in bad form of late- but did lose three-nil to Ware last time out. They knocked Westfield out of the competition on penalties in the last round.

That one kicks off at the more traditional 3PM.
