Steve Watt departs Hythe Town immediately following Saturday's defeat

Last week we brought you the news that Hythe Town boss Steve Watt had decided to stand down at the end of the season- but following Saturday's defeat at Beckenham Town the Cannons boss decided to make his departure immediate.

The club explained:

'Following yesterday’s capitulation at basement side Beckenham Town, Steve Watt spoke with myself at Eden Park Rd, then again later last night and finally this morning. Steve has decided that it’s in everyone’s best interest if he leaves with immediate effect, expressing his disappointment in the majority of (but not all) the players yesterday and that coupled with some family issues back home in Scotland has brought his plans forward.'

Frannie Collin and Alex Flisher will lead the team until the end of the season. The club are asking for interested applicants to email Chairman@HytheTownFC.co.uk to express their interest in the managers position.
