Peter Wedgeworth returns to Merstham

Merstham have announced the return to the club of defender Peter Wedgeworth.

Peter was part of the Merstham side which started the 2019-20 Isthmian Premier season, making eleven appearances. He spent last season not too far away at Chipstead, playing twenty nine times- including in a draw against his new side on bonfire night.

The full back and free-kick specialist was an important part of Tooting's promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division in 2017, and has since had another short spell at Imperial Fields during the 21-22 season. He spent some time at Whyteleafe before the sad demise of the original club, and was with East Grinstead Town during the rather short 20-21 campaign, scoring on his debut against Ashford United.

Amongst his other clubs are Walton Casuals, Whitstable Town, Ramsgate and Bromley.
