Woods win, but our two South East sides fall to National league opposition

By Ian Townsend

A brief Thursday night friendly round up, as Northwood are victorious but Hythe Town and VCD Athletic fall just short

VCD Athletic hosted our former favourites Dulwich Hamlet, and the side in pink and blue left with a three-nil victory, all goals coming after the break. Headline image courtesy of Hamlet.

Hamlet's National League South rivals Maidstone United were also on the road to Kent, but travelled a little further as they arrived at Hythe Town. Our Cannons put up a fight in a two-one defeat, scorer unknown- indeed they looked set for a draw until the eighty ninth minute.

Northwood travelled to Flackwell Heath and emerged with a two-one victory, Joakim Ehui and Shakeel Morris scored Woods goals, both of which came within the first seventeen minutes.

Where next?

Friday night football Aveley and Hanwell Town welcome the big boys tonight- whilst another two of our clubs face each other
Another pair of Hillians Burgess Hill Town seem to have taken to announcing signings in pairs, perhaps in the hope that it will encourage their strikers to score in the same way! Here are the latest two.
