A big night in Binfield…but not for the Moles!

Guernsey travel to Binfield tonight knowing that only victory will do!

The Boys in Blue or the Green Lions- only one of these sides will claim South Central safety, and at the moment the odds favour Met Police.

Met start Thursday five points ahead of Guernsey with one match to play- at Sutton Common Rovers on Saturday- whilst the Green Lions have a game in hand, and they play it at Binfield this evening before ending their campaign in Harrow Borough on Saturday. Nothing less than a victory for Guernsey against the Moles this evening will see them hold onto a chance of safety- and they’ll need another win on Saturday whilst praying that Rovers are also victorious. Luckily for them Rovers seem to have found their mojo, and hit six last Saturday!

Guernsey were four unbeaten before defeat against promotion-chasing Kingstonian last weekend, whilst Binfield have confirmed safety but are seeing their season end with a whimper rather than a bang, having lost four in a row. The Green Lions have never lost at The Iconic Stadium, their last two trips ending in two-one wins after a one-one draw the first time they met. The Moles did win the meeting between the sides earlier this season, however, winning two-one at Footes Lane in October, and added time goal from Ethan Gold sealing the points.

Kick off is at 7.45 PM.
