A duo for the Nuts and Bolts
Freddie Francis and William Dupray are United in Ashford
Ashford United gave debuts to two new arrivals in victory over Steyning Town on Saturday, Freddie Francis emerging from the bench and William Dupray on from the start.
William, of course, has been with the Nuts and Bolts previously.
He ended last season winning promotion with Three Bridges- and indeed started this season at Jubilee Field, too. He has played four times this season, and played three times at the end of last season after moving to Crawley from Sevenoaks Town.
Midfielder William made only four appearances for Oaks, but had only been there a short time. He was previously at Whitehawk, but was only there a short time too, playing twice, and prior to that made five appearances for Ashford United.
He was previously with Hashtag United and Concord Rangers. He moved to the Tags from Hanwell Town, and also played Pitching In Southern Premier football for Hendon during the 23-24 season. He spent 22-23 playing in our Premier Division for Haringey Borough, where he played twenty nine times and scored one goal.
He spent time at Ware, and spent a short time at Northwood during the early stages of the 21-22 campaign. He started the almost non-existent 20-21 campaign at Bracknell Town, moving there from Harlow Town. Prior to his time as a Hawk he was at Wingate & Finchley for a short time, and also played for Cambridge City. He has also played for Chalfont St Peter, Welwyn Garden City, and spent time with Cockfosters. He came through the Scunthorpe United Academy, signing as an apprentice in May 2015.
Freddie Francis is rather less experienced but rather highly-rated, and makes a move from Folkestone Invicta. The forward only joined Invicta in the summer, aged 16, and has already featured in National League South- and has just returned from a trial at Premier League Ipswich Town.
