A Friendly Round Up

We catch up on the outcomes of friendly matches from the last few days- with some video, too

 

The pre-season programme really got underway at the weekend, and we’ve been trawling social media for outcomes so that you don’t have to!

 

 

Friday saw Dartford welcome Charlton Athletic, and the visitors left with a one-nil victory. You can watch the highlights below. Fakenham Town fell to a one-nil defeat in Great Yarmouth, whilst Winchester City drew two-two with Colden Common. Olly Balmer and Ryan Carroll scored City’s goals. 

 

 

Onto Saturday, and Barnet were eight-three winners over Southall behind closed doors. In the Benfleet FC tournament which featured Bowers and Pitsea and Concord Rangers, the Beachboys defeated Bowers three-one, whilst Bowers defeated Benfleet and Benfleet defeated the Beachboys. 

 

Bognor Regis Town fell to a one-nil defeat against Dorking Wanderers - and you can watch the highlights below, whilst Burgess Hill Town defeated Roffey three-nil, with two goals from Reggie Ward and one from the ubiquitous A. Trialist. Canvey Island and Ebbsfleet Utd played out a goalless draw, whilst Carshalton Athletic defeated Bromley four-nil with goals from Charlie George- indeed, he got three- and Tope Fadahunsi. 

 

 

Chatham Town and Slough Town drew two-two, Elliott Wenham and Jimmy Wild on target for the Chats, and Moneyfields defeated Chichester City two-nil, Trialist E the star, getting both goals.  

 

Cobham fell three-one to Farnborough, whilst Cray Wanderers lost three-one against AFC Whyteleafe, Charlie Paye scoring for the hosts. Deal Town were three-one winners over Faversham Strike Force, Jamie Kennedy, Ash Miller and Dan Gannon the scorers. Dereham Town were two-one winners over Lowestoft Town, A Trialist scoring for the Trawler Boys.

 

East Preston were three-nil winners over Croydon Athletic, whilst Hendon defeated Edgware & Kingsbury three-nil with goals from Shawn Joseph and A Trialist. Erith and Belvedere took on Welling United, and Wings delivered a five-one win, Nathan Cooper, Sam Smith and Fumy Shomotun amongst the scorers. Erith Town and Sutton Athletic delivered a goalless draw. 

 

Epsom & Ewell welcomed Leatherhead, the Tanners winning three-nil with goals from Murphy and A Trialist. Fisher and Faversham Town drew one-one, whilst Folkestone Invicta were five-two winners over another Croydon Athletic side. 

 

Hadley were two-one winners over Egham Town, and Enfield Town travelled to take on our old friends at Haringey Borough and and left with an entertaining three-three draw. Luke May-Parrott got two for Town, Youngs got the other. 

 

Haverhill hosted Cambridge City, the visitors winning three-two, whilst Herne Bay saw Joe Taylor take control, delivering a first half hat trick as they defeated Rusthall three-nil. Hollands & Blair and Ashford Utd couldn’t manage a goal, but Witham Town got one in a draw at Hullbridge Sports. Brightlingsea Regent got two at Hutton, Gianni Ashley and Jake Clowsley the scorers in a two-nil victory. Lancing were generous hosts against Whitehawk, the Hawks scoring NINE without reply. 

 

Lymore Gardens and Buckhurst Hill played out a seven goal thriller, the visitors scoring four of those, whilst Margate lost one-nil to Dover Athletic. Met Police were the hosts for Merstham, the Moatsiders winning five-one with a hat trick from Charlie Greenwood and additional goals from Tommy Bradford and A. Trialist. 

 

Rayners Lane were defeated three-one by visitors Hayes & Yeading Utd, Redbridge defeated Arlesey Town three-nil, Redhill hosted Broadbridge Heath, the Bears winning one-nil, Mason Doughty with the winner, and Sevenoaks Town were defeated two-one by Barking. 

 

Sheppey Utd were six-one winners over Sheppey Sports, Josh Chambers, Ben Clark, Harry Lawrence, Michael Salako and two trialists scoring for the Ites. 

 

Sporting Khalsa defeated Punjab Utd three-nil, and Takeley were two-nil winners over Wormley Rovers. Wingate & Finchley fell two-nil to Royston Town, and Wembley were three-one winners over Harrow Borough. Whitstable Town lost three-one against Maidstone United. Wroxham defeated Thetford Town two-nil.

 

Monday saw Hashtag United defeat East Thurrock Utd ELEVEN-nil, and we had another hatful of goals as Shepherd’s Bush were defeated six-two by Hendon, Mitfari and Trialists the green scorers.
