A new quartet for Regent

A new quartet for Regent

Ben Sargeant, Sonny Carr, Roan Tucker and Jensen Mulqueen bring their talents to Brightlingsea

Brightlingsea Regent have announced a quartet of new arrivals.

Ben Sargeant spent last season scoring goals for fun, twenty five of them in fact, as he terrorised defences whilst at Clacton. Those goals came in forty appearances, and he also scored four in thirteen appearances the previous season.

Sonny Carr was previously with Holland FC, and indeed became their captain aged only seventeen. He actually moved to Regent last season, but was loaned out to Eastern Counties side Cornard United, where he played fourteen times, helping his side to safety.

Keeper Roan Tucker played twenty five times for Brantham Athletic last season, but was unable to save his side from relegation despite some impressive displays. Before moving to Brantham mid-season he played for Lakenheath in the Thurlow Nunn Premier, and if the FA website is accurate he made fifteen appearances.

He was previously part of the Under 23 side at Pitching In Southern Premier club Needham Market, and was regularly part of the first team squad.

Midfielder Jensen Mulqueen comes in from AFC Sudbury, where he played twenty eight times last season, and scored a couple of goals. He was the Player of the Year at Brantham Athletic when they earned their promotion to this level, making forty appearances and scoring five goals as his side won the Thurlow Nunn title. Prior to his time at Athletic he played one hundred and thirteen times for FC Clacton.
