A Tiger becomes a Rover

Khiani Shombe swaps Hull for Stanway Rovers- temporarily

Stanway Rovers had a new keeper as they lost narrowly against Enfield Town in midweek, Khiani Shombe making a temporary move from Premier League side Hull City.

Khiani, a Londoner by birth, played for Millwall prior to becoming a teenager and then for Lewisham Borough before being spotted by Southampton (no binoculars were required), and went on to play for the Under 21 side at St Mary's before Hull City came in for him in February. He signed an eighteen month contract with the Tigers.

So far as we can see, this is his first experience of senior football.
