A trio of Jammers
Kenedi Dariri, Charlee Hughes and George Okoye strengthen Maldon and Tiptree
Prior to Saturday's action Maldon and Tiptree announced three new arrivals.
George Okoye comes in on loan from Braintree Town, but of course he has been our way before, as he played a big part in last season's success for Stanway Rovers. He scored nine goals in forty appearances for Rovers last season as they won Pitching In Isthmian North promotion via the Play Offs, and was even more prolific as they won promotion from the Essex Senior League a year previously, with twenty six goals in forty matches.
He was previously with Barking and Basildon United- and joined Braintree in the summer.
Kenedi Dariri also has a Stanway connection, as he moves directly from Rovers. He has played eight times this season.
Kenedi was at. Canvey Island last season, playing thirty nine times and popping up with three goals. The defender joined the Gulls from Grays Athletic, where he played forty one times during 24-25. He was previously a big part of the first team squad at Barking, making his first team debut- so far as we can see- during the 21-22 campaign and becoming one of the first names on the team sheet.
Charlee Hughes played a big part in Brentwood Town's success last season, scoring ten goals in forty two appearances. This season has found him at Stanway Rovers, scoring one goal in eight matches.
Charlee made the move to the Blues from Aveley, where he played in National League South from the summer of 2023. He made thirty four appearances during the 24-25 season.
He was previously with Brentwood back in 2018-19, and was rather prolific, scoring twenty goals in thirty three appearances.
After his first Brentwood spell he played at a higher level for both Wealdstone and Hemel Hempstead Town, and he also had a spell with the Jammers, scoring thirty goals in forty five appearances during 2019-20 and nine goals in twenty appearances during 21-22.
He has also turned out for Bowers and Pitsea and Concord Rangers.
