Abbotts boss Holland departs

Waltham Abbey have announced the departure of boss Billy Holland.

Billy has been in charge of the Abbotts for four years, and for each of the last three has led them to the Play Offs, each of those sadly ending in defeat. This season saw them finish third and record eighty points before a Semi-Final defeat, 24-25 saw them finish fourth with seventy nine points prior to Semi-Final defeat, and 23-24 saw Holland's side finish fourth in Pitching In Southern Division One Central, when they reached the Promotion Final before losing narrowly to Bedford Town.

Holland has spent much of his career as an Abbott in two spells. He is both the record appearance holder and record goalscorer at the club. He has also turned out for Hornchurch, Maldon & Tiptree, Billericay Town and Aveley.
