Ali back with the Bees
Samir Ali returns to Basildon United
Basildon United have announced the return of Samir Ali from Grays Athletic.
Samir moved to Athletic from Bowers and Pitsea in December, and made seventeen appearances, scoring three goals. He moved to Bowers in the summer from Basildon, and he made thirteen appearances for Bowers, with one goal- the winner in victory over Hendon.
The forward stepped up to our level with the Bees last season, joining from Thurlow Nunn First Division South side Burnham Ramblers, and was an immediate success, scoring sixteen goals in his forty two matches.
Samir scored twenty goals from twenty five appearances for Ramblers during the 22-23 season (according to the FA website), and the Bees stated that he scored forty nine in his previous two seasons. He has also spent time with Woodford Town.
