Lex Allan arrives at Faversham Town

Faversham Town's squad building for next season continues, and the next player agreeing to sign on is Lex Allan, who makes a move from Sheppey United.

Six feet seven inch centre-back Lex spent last season as an Ite, playing thirty seven times and scoring twice- including a goal against his new club. He was previously at Sittingbourne, and indeed has had four spells as a Brickie.

Lex first became a Brickie's first team regular when he was only eighteen years old, back in the 2017-18 season. His form quickly attracted the attention of the likes of Millwall, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Birmingham City, but it was with the Brickies he remained, and he made twenty six appearances in that first campaign, twenty five more during 2018-19, and thirty five during 2019-20 before the world crashed down around our ears. He departed Woodstock Park in October 2020 to sign for Sheppey for a first time, and then returned to the Brickies in January 2022, playing sixteen times, before a move to Hythe at the start of the 22-23 campaign.

He played forty two times as the Cannons reached the Pitching In Isthmian South East Play Off Final in 22-23, and made another forty three appearances during 23-24 season. The 24-25 season saw him play thirty eight times and captain the side.
