Bay beat the Bears

Herne Bay were facing the Pitching In Isthmian South East leaders, Broadbridge Heath making the long midweek trip, and Bay were ahead on eighteen minutes with Jacob Lambert taking the applause. The Bears drew level just before the half hour, Sam Hards with the equaliser, but the hosts struck again straight after half time, Henry Sinai converting after fine work from Emmanuel Robe, and this time they held their lead.

The Bears stay top- but Bay move into the top seven, four points behind the leaders with three games in hand and with a one hundred percent record. 

Crowborough Athletic were at home to Croydon Athletic, and it was the hosting Athletic who struck first, Elliott Duncan scoring from the spot on the quarter hour. The visitors drew level two minutes into the second half, when we saw James Taylor’s smiling face, and only two minutes after that Josh Williams added a second for the Rams. Faversham Town welcomed Punjab United, and the Lilywhites looked comfortable by the time half an hour had been played, Josh Ajayi and Jack Evans putting them two goals to the good- but they weren’t quite as comfortable when Roman Campbell, who of course used to play for the Lilywhites, got one back just before the break. Tommy Fagg made it three-one from the spot early in the second half only for the visitors to immediately strike back, Sam Wood with the fifth goal of the evening. The sixth goal of the evening looked crucial, and it went to the hosts, Kane Haysman making it four-two, but still United weren’t finished, Harry Ottaway bringing it back to four-three right at the end. Town, however, held on- and are up to fifth and still unbeaten. 

Merstham travelled to the seaside to take on Deal Town, and they went ahead just before the break, Olly Allen opening the scoring. Town levelled six minutes into the second half, Rory Smith with the equaliser, and went ahead with twenty one minutes left, Ash Miller scoring from the spot. With twelve minutes remaining Olu Lawal levelled for the Moatsiders, but parity lasted only five minutes before Jamie Kennedy added a third for Deal, and this time they held on for three points and a first win of the campaign- which lifted them to fifteenth. 

South Park Reigate got their noses in front against Erith Town with only eight minutes left on the clock, JJ O'Sullivan with the goal- but within a minute Harry Taylor levelled for the Dockers, and one-one was the final score. Town played the last thirty five minutes with ten men, following the dismissal of Jerome Jayaguru- but they remain unbeaten, and in fourth place. The Sparks are ninth.
