Bernal and Panter of the Oysterboys
Ryan Bernal swaps the Rooks for Whitstable Town- and Dagenham man Corey Panter is also new at the Belmont
Lewes have announced that full back Ryan Bernal has made a move from countryside to seaside, swapping the South Downs for the Kentish coast and Whitstable Town.
Ryan joined the Rooks in the summer of 2025, and was an immediate success. Last season saw him play thirty nine times and score an impressive five goals.
The defender was with Hertford Town in Pitching In Southern Division One Central for most of the 24-25 season, although he started the campaign in National League South with Aveley. That was his second spell in Hertford, and in between he was with Hanwell Town.
He was an Under 18 player with Bromley before first moving into the senior game.
Also arriving at The Belmont is Corey Panter, a defender most recently playing at a much higher level with Dagenham and Redbridge. Corey joined the Daggers in the summer of last season, and was a mainstay of their side last season.
Corey came through the ranks at Luton Town, eventually becoming a professional with the Hatters. The centre half had loan spells at Hendon, Biggleswade Town, Dundee and Kidderminster Harriers before eventually earning a permanent move to National League side Eastleigh, where he spent three seasons- including a few months on loan at Weymouth.
