Billericay overcome the Binfield challenge to become our first finalists

The Blues defeated the Moles to take their place in the Velocity Cup Final
Billericay Town came from behind to earn the first place in our Velocity Cup Final, as the Binfield giantkilling spree was finally brought to an end.
The Moles had already knocked out Pitching in Isthmian Premier opposition in the shape of Dulwich Hamlet and Hastings United to reach this stage, and they must have dreamed of another scalp when Tyler D’Cruz put them ahead at New Lodge after only five minutes- but our league leaders are made of stern stuff, and in the end delivered a comfortable victory.
Moses Emmanuel took only three minutes to level, but that was that for the first half, the hosts not taking control until after the break. Six minutes into the second half De-Carrey Sheriff added a second for Town, and they never looked back, Ashley Nzala making it three-one on sixty nine minutes and Charlie Panton making it four-one in added time.
Congratulations to the Blues, who will face either holders Chatham Town or Hendon in the Final, the other Semi-Final scheduled for next Tuesday evening.
The Final will be held at Parkside Aveley on Wednesday 9th April.
