Black is back- and Cassidy signs on too
Hastings United welcome back Ollie Black- and celebrate the first time arrival of Archie Cassidy
Ollie Black is back at Hastings United,
Ollie, who can play at full back or centre half, played for Charlton Athletic and Eastbourne Borough at youth level before a move to Hastings. He became a mainstay of the United first team, playing sixteen times during his first 2017-18 season, fourteen times during 18-19, thirty six times during 19-20, ten times before 20-21 fell over almost as soon as it began, thirty seven times during 21-22 as his club won promotion, nineteen times during 22-23 and another thirty four times during 23-24, when he was Managers Player of the Season and Directors Player of the Season. He moved to Worthing in the summer of 2024, and also spent time back at Hastings on loan during the 24-25 season, playing nineteen times. He played twenty times for Worthing.
Last season saw him join Folkestone Invicta.
Archie Cassidy comes in from Bromley. He played for the Under 18 side at Hayes Lane, but the defender spent most of last season in Sussex, on loan at SCFL side Horsham YM. According to the YM website he made forty appearances last season- and he also played seven times for VCD Athletic, including in a one-nil defeat at Pilot Field.
