Boatman Roberts navigates to Westfield

Westfield have brought in a new forward, and he has experience at a much higher level.

James Roberts played youth football for Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford United, before graduating to the first team at the latter. Whilst with United he had a succession of loan spells, the nearest being at Oxford City but also including Chester, Barnet and Guiseley, before he eventually departed to join Halesowen Town.

Spells at Hereford, Spennymoor Town and Oxford City followed, before he had a rather longer period at our end of the country, signing for Havant and Waterlooville, where he spent three years. A period at Hampton and Richmond Borough came next, before a spell at another of our former clubs, Horsham.

He moved to Pitching In Southern Premier side Sholing in January, and played nineteen times last season, scoring three goals.
