Brooke and Williams are two new Blues
Oghosa Williams and George Brooke move into Margate
Margate prepared for last weekend's action by bringing in two new signings, Oghosa Williams and George Brooke.
Striker Oghosa moves from Whitehawk, but has been there only a few weeks. He stepped up from Step Six where he was magnificent in SCEFL Division One for Greenwich Borough last season. According to the Hawks he scored forty goals last season (we've counted thirty six but it's very likely that the internet is not being our friend on this occasion!). He also played for Borough during the previous campaign after stepping up from their youth setup, and immediately hit the ground running.
He previously played youth football for Welling United, has also turned out for Holmesdale, and can apparently play through the middle or on the wing.
Full back George rejoined Cray Wanderers a few weeks ago, but hasn't yet played this season. He was also with Wands last season, playing nine times and scoring once. That followed six appearances during the 24-25 season and eleven during 23-24.
He also spent time with Ashford United last season, playing eleven times, and with Erith Town, playing four times and scoring twice.
He was also previously at Sevenoaks Town, where he played six times during the 24-25 campaign.
