Bury duo move to Mildenhall

Ryan Horne and Luke Brown swap Ram Meadow for Mildenhall Town

 

Mildenhall Town have announced the signings of midfielder Ryan Horne and striker Luke Brown from Bury Town, according to their local paper

 

Ryan had two spells with Bury, signing originally from AFC Sudbury in 2018 and then returning to the club for the 23-24 campaign, when he played thirty five times as his side reached the Play Off Semi-Final. Last season saw him play thirty two times ad they went one better, reaching and winning the Promotion Final. He has also played for Soham Town Rangers and St Neots Town.

 

Luke joined Bury in the summer of 2023, scoring eighteen goals from forty three appearances during his first campaign. He played another thirty seven times last seaosn, and scored ten goals. 

 

You might previously remember Luke from his spell at Stowmarket Town during the 21-22 campaign. You might also remember him from his time at Soham Town Rangers. 

 

Luke first played for Rangers in 2016-17 before heading to New York on a scholarship, making twelve starts and a substitute appearance and scoring three goals. He played for a number of sides in the US whilst studying, and also spent some time at Ely City whilst back home on vacation, before rejoining Rangers in December 2019. He moved on to Hitchin Town and St Albans City before his spell with Stow, which saw him score eleven goals in twenty eight appearances. Another spell at Soham followed during the 22-23 season, before he moved on to Needham Market.
