Can the Seasiders kick start their season TONIGHT?
Felixstowe and Walton United have had an unexpectedly awful start to their campaign- perhaps an FA Cup Friday will allow them to quickly put that behind them?
After a magnificent 25-26 in which only goal difference got between Felixstowe and Walton United and the title, the 26-27 campaign has so far made the Seasiders rather seasick. Two League matches against Redbridge and Wroxham saw them concede eight goals and score only one, and sandwiched in between those fixtures was an FA Trophy tie against another Pitching In Isthmian North club, Mulbarton Wanderers, which ended in a two-nil defeat.
This evening, however, they have the chance to put all of that behind them as they travel to take on Eastern Counties Premier League side Woodbridge Town in the FA Cup. Their hosts have already recorded a Cup victory this season, defeating Heacham in the Extra Preliminary Round, and last weekend won a mammoth FA Vase shootout against Lakenheath, twelve-eleven after the sides played out a two-two draw.
United have never got further than the Third Qualifying Round of the competition, and last season went out at this stage against Newmarket Town. Their hosts haven’t got past the Preliminary Round stage since 2018.

Nearly all of our Pitching In Isthmian North sides are in FA Cup action on Saturday- fixtures HERE- but we do also have one League match, as Wroxham take on Walthamstow, seventh versus fourth.
The Yachtsmen will be buoyant after walloping Felixstowe in midweek, whilst Stow are unbeaten after two League matches, picking up their first win when they defeated Grays Athletic in midweek. Wroxham have won the last three meetings between the sides, the East Londoners the previous three.
