City Craig celebrates a milestone

Ten years and four hundred matches- Winchester City boss Craig Davis is recognised for his incredible efforts

Winchester City boss Craig Davis has been an Isthmian for only a month and already has a trophy- read more here- but he has also been recognised for some rather more long-term achievements.

Craig first took charge of City an incredible ten years ago, and recently reached not only the milestone of a decade in the hotseat but celebrated four hundred matches in charge. That achievement was not only recognised by the club, but by the City of Winchester, with Mayor Jamie Scott heading to the club to present Craig with a certificate in recognition of his achievements.

Craig told the club website:

'To have been given the honour of managing this football club for 10 years means the world, there is not much loyalty in football these days and so to have stayed in the job as long as I have has been amazing! We really have a one club mentality from the youth into the 23's and 1st team and the development path is so special here, also we have a fantastic board and staff behind the scenes, we also have a set of volunteers and supporters that really are what makes this club so very special!"

Our congratulations go our to Craig- for the second time today!
