Concord Rangers manager Sammy Collins leaves the club
Concord Rangers have announced the departure of manager Sammy Collins.
A statement- released on social media- explained:
'The club has made the hard decision to sadly part ways with our manager of the Past 3 Seasons. Sammy took over in a time when the club was going through many changes and has established the club at Step 4.
The club is now looking to move in a different direction and the decision has not been an easy one and not one made on football related matters. The club and players would like to thank Sammy for all he has done for the club in his tenure and wish him all the luck in the future.
The club is now inviting applications for the position of first team manager and they should be sent to declanhogan12@me. com Closing date is 5pm 5th May 26.'
Sammy took over at the Beachboys in May 2023. He previously played for the club during the Danny Cowley era, and won the Essex Senior Cup in 2014.
His playing career took in MK Dons, Hendon, Maidenhead United, Hornchurch, East Thurrock United and Cheshunt, amongst others.
