Lowestoft Town announce Rob Eagle as their permanent boss

After steering Lowestoft Town to Pitching In Isthmian North safety, the club have rewarded interim boss Rob Eagle with the removal of the ‘interim’ title, making him their new permanent boss.

Rob is something of a Trawler Boys legend, making more than two hundred and fifty appearances over three spells, including twenty six last season. His playing career also includes spells at Norwich City, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Grimsby Town, AFC Sudbury and Leiston.

Chairman Iain Small explained:

“Rob stepped in to the role on an interim basis last season, and successfully secured our status in the league. Finishing the season as the top form team over the last six fixtures was a fantastic achievement, and Rob has brought a really positive influence to the squad both on and off the pitch. Everyone at the club wishes Rob well in his new role, and we can now start planning the strategy for a fresh start to the new season.”
