Farnham to build new 'seven hundred capacity' terrace

Planning permission granted- and construction could begin this summer

Whether Pitching In Isthmian South Central leaders Farnham Town will still be with us next season remains to be seen- but fans should soon have a new covered terrace from where they can enjoy their feast of football at the Memorial Ground.

The club have announced that they have received planning permission for a new seven hundred capacity terrace, which will be erected at the Clock End (pictured). They explain:

'Through our amazing, growing fanbase, we were able to raise over £7,000 towards the construction of the new terrace, supported by two generous donations from club sponsors to take our overall fundraising efforts to over £27,000 – a sum which has been matched to the penny by Club Chairman Harry Hugo.

Without the support of every fan who donated, the wonderful team at Howden who have been long-term backers of Farnham Town, and the family of Sir Alan Jones, former Chairman of Toyota UK, avid supporter of the Farnham Lions and passionate Farnham Town fan, this latest phase of our infrastructural development would not be possible, and we would like to thank everyone for their commitment to us.

The new terrace will sit alongside the existing covered seated stand on the Clock End and we aim for construction of the new stand to commence this coming summer.'
