Friday night football for Ashford and Hayes
Friday evening sees us head to Cobham, for a match which is rather important at both ends of the Pitching In Isthmian South Central table
If it’s Friday it must be Ashford Town, and the Tangerines, two points from safety, are looking for a third win in a row as they welcome Hayes and Yeading United for a local derby. Victory for the hosts would lift them out of the bottom four- albeit perhaps only for twenty hours or so- and give their survival hopes a real boost, whilst visitors Hayes slipped to seventh after a late midweek defeat against Uxbridge and would like to quickly start another unbeaten run. Victory against the Tangerines would lift them- again, perhaps temporarily- back into the top five, as they are currently two points behind fifth place Hanworth Villa.
Please remember not to travel to Ashford Town- the match is being played at Cobham FC whilst the Tangerines ground improvements are completed. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too much longer until they get to return home.
