Golden Boot Eddie back at the K's

Golden Boot Eddie back at the K's

Eddie Simon returns to Kingstonian- and Darryl Siaw is new, too

Kingstonian strengthened their squad prior to Tuesday's fixtures- and how!

Back from Tonbridge Angels, where he has scored ten goals this season according to the K's, is last season's Pitching In Isthmian South Central Golden Boot winner Eddie Simon.

Eddie was magnificent for the K's last season- and indeed has been magnificent in front of goal for a number of seasons. He managed thirty four league goals on this occasion, had scored twenty in all competitions by the end of October, and ended the campaign with forty goals across all competitions and the Play offs, with three hat tricks. His best scoring streak was seven consecutive matches from the end of September to the end of October, which brought fifteen goals!

You'll also remember Eddie from his prolific spell with Walton and Hersham, particularly a magnificent 22-23 campaign. It was a season which saw him make national headlines after he scored hat tricks in four consecutive matches- South Park Reigate, Chertsey Town, Binfield and Uxbridge fans will undoubtedly remember that- which were part of a forty three goal season. He also got five against Merstham (sorry for that reminder, Moatsiders), an earlier hat trick against Ashford Town, and picked up our golden boot. Eddie, who sealed a second promotion in a row with Walton in 22-23, played youth football for Brentford before heading north, playing for University of Liverpool and Mossley Hill FC. He also played for FC Assyria in the Middlesex County League , and away from football works as a dentist.

Darry Siaw makes a move from Croydon Athletic. Defender Darryl played alongside Eddie for the Swands during the 22-23 campaign, and also as they won promotion to our ranks the season before. Darryl previously played in Pitching In Isthmian South Central for South Park Reigate. He spent the 20-21 campaign- what there was of it- with the Sparks, making ten appearances. He has also played for Tooting & Mitcham United, Farnborough, Three Bridges, Guildford City, Walton Casuals, Sutton Common Rovers, Lewisham Borough, Haywards Heath Town and Staines Town.

He has played three times for Croydon Athletic this season, thirty times last season, and helped the Rams to promotion in 23-24.
